Organization and Management
AFDIA has two managing bodies: The board and the executive committee. The board is the supreme governing body of the association and consists of all founding and additional members, representatives of beneficiaries, project staff, church affiliated organizations with similar beliefs, and fund raising members. The board is responsible for the overall policy and direction of the association, and it delegates responsibility for day-to-day operation to the staff and committees.
The Executive Committee shall have all the powers and authority of the Board of Directors in the intervals between meetings of the Board of Directors, and is subject to the direction and control of the full Board.
The Executive Director has day-to-day responsibilities for the organization, including carrying out the organization’s goals and policies. The Executive Director will attend all Board meetings, report on the progress of the organization, answer questions of the board members and carry out the duties described in the job
